Since it was forbidden to take shells (and since I have no real use for shells anyway) I photographed a few of the beautiful ones that I found on the beach! I wish some of the more subtle colors showed up better in the photographs, it's such a lovely variety of pastels from the dark colors bleaching in the sun. The large one is part of a crab or other shellfish like that, I believe. We saw the leftovers from many bird meals on the rocks!
