It seemed muddy and jungley at first, and then we came across a random foundation of a building right in the middle of the trail. That was bizarre! After going over that we started going on a downward sloping trail with mud and tons of grass. It was shady to start before we broke out into the hot sun on the crest. But with the sun came the view (next post!).
