This fortress is built right into the side of this cliff and blends in well with the natural landscape. Someone came along and built these steps and railings so tourists can go inside more safely, which make it seem a bit like the line to ride "Splash Mountain" but it's still nice. The history behind this place is unimaginable, and the armaments still littering the yard are amazing to see. Saipan is just covered in WWII memorabilia if you know where to look.
